In recent years, I’ve completed more than a dozen novels for AmazonCrossing, with total sales approaching 400,000 books (as of 2020). My focus has been on fantasy novels (read Bernhard Hennen's splendid "The Elven") and historical fiction (starting with Petra Durst-Benning's "While the World is Still Asleep," the first book in her marvelous "Century Trilogy").

Important commissions have also come from Piper Verlag and Zeitsprung Entertainment, and I have completed countless assignments for private, academic, commercial and industrial clients.

While focusing more and more on literature, I cut my translating teeth in the film and TV sector and continue to work in this area, translating screenplays, pitches, dialogue books, treatments, subtitles, etc.

For me, translation is all about the story and the message, far less about one-to-one word correspondence. What good is an English sentence written by someone with a tin ear? Rhythm, mood and meaning matter at least as much as the actual words.

As a creative writer, I will bring your words to life - in English.
